

DJ Dawn has been serving the Albany region since
2002. She is known for her great taste in music that
always keeps your guests dancing. Dawn reads the
crowd well at every event. She is professional,
great on the mic, fun and interactive on the
requested level and makes sure your wishes are met.
Dawn loves to lead off crowd pleasing dances. Any
level of crowd interaction that you choose Dawn will
be sure to deliver.
Dawn has been dancing since 1994. Dawn is known for
her outgoing and playful personality. Dawn dances
for fun first, and everything else comes after.
With a smile on her face and tones of patience for
new dancers she is the perfect choice to teach beginner
dancers, with a focus on fun and teachings of dance
technique.
Dawn started dancing swing to Elvis in her living
room with her brother, and her mother showing them
how to.
In 1994 Dawn continued swing dancing, and added
Lindy Hop taught by National Lindy Hop instructors
Bill Borgida and Frankie Manning, and Ballroom in
Ithaca, N.Y. With her good friend Steve Ryan who
began the very successful Syracuse Swing Dance Society.
Dawn was very helpful with the new dancers by helping
them feel comfortable and that they to could learn
to dance.
Dawn started going to dance weekends in 1994 and
taking numerous group classes with national instructors
in West Cost Swing. At these dance events Dawn began
entering Jack N’ Jill contests. Dawn has placed
first, second, or third in some of the hand full
of contests she has participated in.
Dawn has taken private lessons with many National
WCS instructors. Kate Ford, Hazel Mead, Tybaldt Ulrich,
Ramona Staffield, Bill Cameron, Blake Hobby, Jennifer
Lyons.
Dawn has a love for many dances: West Coast Swing,
East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Latin, Ballroom, Argentine
Tango, Hustle, Country, Night Club Two Step, Israeli
Folk Dancing, & Line Dancing.
Dawn chose to work full time with her husband Dancin’ David
in his Dance and DJ business DANCIN’ TIME in
October 2002, and they love every minute of it.
Dawn started teaching the above dances in September
of 2002. Dawn continues to train under the instruction
of her beloved husband Dancin’ David. In addition
to David’s training, Dawn learns additional
dance instruction material from various sources.
Dawn and David have performed various lead/follow
and choreographed routines by request for many dance
associations.
DANCIN’ TIME offers lessons to groups
of all sizes as well as private one on one sessions.
We also offer dance shows.
It also offers professional disc jockey and emcee
services for weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate
or private parties and most any occasion.
